how to use co2 tanks

hey guys, i've made a cool sniper on the concept that "smaller is better" meaning that big huge cannons are cool but take a long time to pump up (all i got is a bike pump ) and are a pain to cart around, right now i have a pretty small 2in tank thts maybe 15in long, i designed it in the first place to be a bit over kill for the volume of the sch80 1/2in barrel. but i really want to rig it too a co2 tank like they use on paintball guns, i know guys do this sometimes. i just got a paintball gun so i have air tanks and a local shop with co2, what kind of regulator do i need to reduce the pressure in a co2 tank (around 800psi) down to around 200 for my sprinkler valve? any help on this would be awesome. and any pics or forums of other guys that already did this?

Firstly....I will recommend you use no more pressure than the valve or weakest component is rated for...okay?



Palmers Pursuit Shop....Female Stabilizer is a half decent reg for co2. Can be had with outputs of 900psi, 700psi, or 200psi.

Have used mine to charge a copper spuddy (400psi), and with a low pressure (200psi) kit installed, to run a pneumatic stapler.

A bit of money, but you get what you pay for.

ya i did a little research and turned the same conclusion, the regulators cost almost double wat the cannon did in the first place..

Check Ebay. I got an adjustable palmer regulator for $33.00. I got a remote off ebay for $22.00, and some stainless steel braided hose for like $5.00. I got an air compressor regulator from harbor freight on clearance for $5.00, and a set of quick disconnects for $3.00.

I now have a fully adjustable CO2 system for about $60.00 (plus tank)
