PCP WIP

I've been working a lot with paintball caliber guns and HPA, so I decided to put them together to get a really compact, high-powered, and most importantly multi-shot gun. Obviously its not done, but it is fairly powerful just manually opening the valve by hitting it with a wrench



As you can tell the hammer is not on the gun, I just can't build one correctly, so any tips would be very helpful

I'd recommend browsing forums that discuss firearm construction, the mechanism will be the same, Home Gunsmith Forums and Weaponeer are a good starting point.

What sort of hammer are you looking for, single or double action, an open bolt type, etc. I have a decent collection of related material so PM me if you'd like something specific.

Also, good build, I look forward to seeing it's completion.

Thanks zeus, I really don't care which type of hammer I use, I just need it to be simple and functional.

"some people" haven't personally tested them to 3000psi. Since I'm taking this to 1500psi max, I feel fairly safe and within my limits. Thanks for the concern, and let's just hope I don't stretch it out like my hybrid project

What have you tried up till now? Pics might be of value.

In-line striker located in a tube is going to be the easiest IMO.

This gives you a place to house the striker spring, and a place to mount the sear and trigger assemblies.

Not insurmountable.

As Fuzzbean over at Homegunsmith has proven, you don't really need a sear, if you can live with a heavier trigger pull, as is shown here.

It's a pretty bad video, and I was hitting the valve open manually with an actual hammer All four shots go through the styrofoam, I just didn't get it in the frame

I zoom in on the gauge near the end of the video, it's reading about 800-900psi And that's with my inconsistent, manual way of firing (hitting the button with a hammer)

Sorry I skipped that I guess, well that is pretty good, with a proper hammer this will be pretty nice.
