ATTENTION PICS UP FURTHER DOWN!!!! I am starting this thread for ideas to make a golfball launcher out of a asco 1 1/2 inch asco qev/dust valve. Would like to make it using pvc, however all ideas are welcome! The chamber is definatly going to be sdr 21 1 1/2 inch sleeved into 2 inch sch. 80 and breech loading. Chamber is up in the air, maybe a fire extinguisher, maybe 2 inch pvc 80 seeings how I gotta buy 20 feet of it anyways, who knows, thats why I made the thread. I put a 5 foot chamber of 1 1/2 inch pvc, attached a golf ball barrel from another gun, put on a 1 /4 inch ball valve for a pilot and brought it up to 80 psi and let her rip!! The golf ball was outta sight in seconds. This valve in my opinion will match any other 2 inch barrel sealing piston out there to say the least!!

What do you want the cannon to be like? How much pressure do you want to use? Breech loading?

Matty;

Here is a comparison of my launcher versus a 3 inch PVC SCH80 chamber.
Both have 36 inch breech loading barrel.
That is why I stated in PM to use a fire extinquisher. Much cleaner and ergonomic.

wow, looks great, to say the least!! I like the idea that the shorter steel barrel is stronger, however I just like the looks of the longer barrel more for some reason. Thanks again for doing this sketch for me! 8) 8) 8)

Do you mean steel chamber?

You like the looks of the bottom model better than the top, correct?

I can put a longer barrel on if you like. 48 inches instead of 36.

With too long of barrel it just looks out of proportion.

Build a breech loading coaxle. Not to many of those with internal QEV's...

The images in this posting are jpeg images not dwg files.

3D CAD files are totally different than image files.

Do you have an icon on your desktop that is DWG TrueView?

If you do, then it should be installed correctly unless you get some errors occurring when opening.

The e-mail has the dwg file attached. You can also try double clicking that file and it should open.

Note that F1 key will bring up help in TrueView.

Hey dewey, never got that truview to work for me, kept getting error messages. However will be starting this cannnon this weekend with my son. I will be using the second cannon in the second sketch. I will post pics when its finished. Thank you again for the help. I am sure this cannon will be a beast with alot of power. Looking forward to the build. I enjoy the build more than the bang to be honest! :D

Got truview to work finally and got the chamber done today. It is approximately 54 inches of 2 inch schedule 80 with 2 inch schedule 40 NSFpw rated fittings. I was going to do schedule 80 fittings as well, but not when I seen the prices, almost 22 dollars just for a tee!!! I think I may leave the barrel just sdr 21 1 1/2 and not sleeve it with the 2 inch 80 cuz if I do it just seems too heavy!! Opinions please. Here are a few pics so far of the chamber. Pics were done with my cell phone, so they are nothing to write home about. Heres thr link, click on play as slideshow so you dont get any pop ups!
