Homemade co2 Pressure Regulator: 2kpsi - 500psi

Hello to all, i was thinking to use co2 with a pressure regulator, but i can only find 1300 to 100 psi to buy. I would like to use 500... hehe... i never worked with these hi pressures, so maybe my question is stupid... but is it possible, (safe) to build this? the o-ring can handle the pressure? will i die if i try? hehe..
--- supose the piston diameter and the spring tension is calculated so that when the chamber reaches 500 psi the piston moves to that position...

Derp. Missed part of the drawing there.
I do believe that will work if you can manage to calibrate the spring. Just be sure all the parts you're working with are up to the challenge. Personally though, I'd just keep searching for a suitable reg or build and HPA setup.

I agree with sae. I wouldn't trust a homemade reg at this pressure. Search Palmer pursuit.

hehehe....
i see pneumatic and propane launchers are very popular in some places...
very cool that punkin shunkin!
there is a brazilian website and a community at orkut about diy airguns, but with few information; in youtube there is some brazilian guys that make 100psi 4,5mm airguns... but it is not a popular subject yet... hehe... i just know that a want to go to the edge! need to learn a little more... my first idea was to go supersonic, but using ggdt and making some simple calculation i realized that it is not an easy thing.. i built a ball valve spring trigered gun and a 3/4 qev gun... still making bolt action and in the future the stock... when the 2 guns become finished, i ll post somo photos and tests i made (distance, penetration). Next step: learn hybrid...
