half or full circle vortex block?

Hey Guys. Could someone tell me more about these half circle vortex blocks. Is the rof higher than a full circle? I've seen a pic of one in a flamethrower but it did not have a air line hooked directly to it. Does that mean it is more like a cloud? Any input would help. thanks

I started making "half hole" blocks mostly just to conserve space. The blocks have more like two thirds of a full hole, but I added a couple little things to try to improve them.
I'd say they shoot a bit faster because BBs don't have the chance to make multiple revolutions and instead get sucked in faster, but that's probably just speculation. The blocks just save space if the body of your gun is 1" or 1 1/4" pipe instead of 2."
