Hi, joined this site ages ago, thought someone may like to see.
I have created a website called prometheanrifles.co.uk
Go to P22CMk1 to see current build progress of my rifle.
unfortunately 12ft/lb limit
Site is still under construction

Looks, good! Shame about the 12ft/lb limit though. However, you could crank up the power a bit on your own personal gun "hint hint"
I have a lot of "things" that fire way over 12ft/lbs. As long as you're not being disruptive, i think it's fine imo.
Anyway, it should be a sweet build and be sure to post the finished thing here!

Hi, thanks for the input.
Will eventually shoot it above the 12ft/lb limit but will apply for a license first, too much to risk, I'm 19 and in a decent job at the minute.
I always thought a bad machinist always blames his tools but after getting a decent industrial lathe instead of a model makers lathe and some tools with carbide inserts its amazing the finish you can get. A mirror finish on aluminium and nearly that on brass.
I'm trying to get similar results to the daystate Mk3, and therefore using electronic sensors and a solenoid. The difference is that my design does not use a conventional hammer valve, it is quite different but I cant give too much away.
Air stripper is exactly what it is, will eventuall polish it up, looks dirty in the photos.
Progress is very slow at the moment with work commitments, about half a douzen parts to make and the breech to redesign before I can make a bench fire.

I remember thinking the same seeing some of the machined projects on here or the internet.
Got very lucky. A year and half back had no money, crappy old lathe, no money to even buy metal to machine, just enough to run my bike to college every week. Then twist of fortune, got paid out for motorbike accident, found lathe for price I couldnt refuse, got offered a job with decent pay. Been through a lot of crap the last four years and things are finally looking up.
