Blow Gun Leak at Output

The blow gun leaks slightly at the output. I pressurized it to 60 PSI and after about 10 to 15 minutes it dropped down to 55 PSI.

Anyone know what causes this and how to fix it? The blow gun is new. I bought 4 of them and they all leak slightly from the output.

The blow gun is a Milton S151 Control Valve - Maximum working pressure: 150 PSI; SCFM 24.5 at 100 PSI. Thanks.

Unscrew the valve bit and have a look at the seals...

I opened it up and took out the insides. The o-ring and everything else looked fine except for a little corrosion. I cleaned it up and put it back together.

When I was unscrewing the valve bit, it seemed like it wasn't on very tight. When I reassembled it, I screwed it on tighter. Not super tight because I didn't want to squash the o-ring too much. I aired the tank up to 60 PSI and after 30 minutes the pressure gauge needle hadn't moved at all. That stopped the leak. Hooray! Thanks Jack.

The valve bit on all 4 blow guns weren't screwed down tight enough and had a bit of corrosion inside them.

@Zeus. Will Vaseline also deter corrosion besides helping with the seal?

Whatever surface it's on shouldn't rust, but I wouldn't use it to protect steel from rust. It does wonders for the seal though. And you can lock down on the o ring, just don't make it extrude out the sides too much.
