Hey guys! This is my first post here on this site :)
I have just created a small spud gun with a pill bottle, a pen, a disassembled BBQ lighter thing, and 2 nails. I stuck the nails in the pill bottle and then used the disassembled lighter and attached the two wires to the two nails. I then hollowed a pen and used it as a barrel in the front, and then taped that whole thing up. I have clicked the lighter thing and electricity passes between the nails.
All good so far!
However, this is the problem: I sprayed some (not very much) deodorant into the bottle, but it didn't fire. I then blew into the bottle and tried again, but still no luck. Listening to some YouTube videos, I decided to give alcohol a try. I put some 70ish% alcohol onto a q-tip and rubbed it over the inside of the medicine bottle. I then shook it, blew into it, capped it, and pressed the button. Sparks there, but nothing else is happening!!!
Could someone help me?
Thanks a lot!

I'm sure you can get stuff locally though, at which sort of shop will depend on your location. In Europe you can get syringes from pharmacies or garden supply shops, and lighter refill cans of butane from supermarkets, ironmongeries and tobacco shops.

For a full size gun you want a 60cc syringe. For a mini a 5 or 10cc would be better. The store with the syringe will also have blunt needles, which are handy.

1. Try hardware stores that sell animal (horse, cow, ...) supplies like;

2. Printer cartridge refill kits often come with 10 or 20cc syringes.

looks like a 25cc syringe + needle + ink for $8. Check you local big box store and you can probably find a kit locally and avoid shipping costs.
