Hey guys i am trying to grasp the concept of a reloading scheme for a semi auto bb gun using the round 4.57 mm BB ... i have my semi auto gun using a pilot and QEV with T pipe .... im looking for a reloading mechanism that reloads after the round has left the chamber ... Any help ???

ps. tell me if my expectations of a homemade Sniper BB is to high ;) !

look up Blow forward bolt in spudflies search or find one of the semi autos that use a air cylinder to reload ammo, i made one so has Poland_spud and a few others.

yeah but that open the breach while there pressure in the barrel not a good thing if you want power.

As long as you have a spring on top and the magazine is a close fit to the bbs it shouldn't lose power because the air will push the bb up (and won't blow by it) but as long as you have a spring in place the bb will not travel to far and power drop will be minimal.

Also, given that the pilot air is weaker than the main air, the bb will probably have already left the barrel by the time that the hole in the piston is pushed over the hole in the barrel.

This isn't exactly what you asked for, but it is a proven system; many people have used it for BB/airsoft or even larger cannons. Sorry, but my paint skills are horrible.

The only problem with that, and imo ALL blow forward bolts is that pushing the red block forward would hinder the speed of your air, similar to adding a bend in the airflow from the source to the barrel.
