How to take apart quick-disconnects

Hi everyone!, The other day I suddenly got this urge to take something apart, and a quick-disconnect sitting on my workbench caught my eye. The simple, yet amazing quick-disconnect is something almost every spudder is familiar with, and most of us only vaguely know how it really works. Anyway maybe one of you can use this in the production of some sort of valve. So lets begin:

This is what you will need: quick-disconnect, big wrench, channel locks

Put the wrench on the hex part of the quick disconnect.

Now put the channel locks on the bumpy front part of the quick-disconnect and hold the channel locks as hard as you can, then you can unscrew the two halfs of the quick-disconnect
