expanding gasses

ive built a combustion cannon out of a pill bottle with a child proof lock but to the piont my question is will a 1/2 inch barell allow the gasses to excape quickley enough from 3 inch combustion chamber .. the pill bottle or will the bottle explode also the average explosion produces aprox. 50-60 psi correct me if im wrong thank you all

Never had one explode on me,and as to the 1/2 inch barrel it depends on how long it is.If it was say 3 inches then it would work fine but not shoot very far but if it where say 20inches it wouldnt shoot very well at all, just find the sweet spot start out at about 12 inches n cut shorter if you need to until its got a good working lenght.

thx i used a 20 in barell it worked great .. until my cap exploded at me and left a wellt on me with the print of what was on the cap hurt hella bad ... end result to much fuel bye bye cap

too much fuel is not the reason, if you add too much fuel, it just wont fire, the 1/2" barrel is choking the pressure too much and its pressing out on all other sides as it trys to get out the barrel, thats why the cap flew off
