Metal spud cannon fuel ratio.
This is the first time I have really built a spud cannon. Propane powered made out of plumbing fittings. This thing really shoots well when I take the end cap and put the end of my torch into it for about 5 seconds. It shoots about 30 meters accurately. Now im working on a propane metering/injection system. Using a regular tank valve and ball valve and a pressure gauge. I cant really get this thing to fire no matter how little or much propane I put into it. I think its lack of air or the wrong ratio. I can get it to fire if I take the cap off and let some more air in. firing it at around 50-60 degrees. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Burnt gasses need to be vented and in doing so there is normaly enough fresh air replacement to get another working fuel/air mixture. You made no mention of a chamber fan, do you have one installed? If not they are a big help, come in all sizes and brushless should be used.
