I apologize in advanced if none of these images show up, as this is the first time i have uploaded images in this way to a website!
This was one of my first attempts at making a pneumatic gun! I made this about 1 1/2 years ago. The ammunition I use are 15mm steel ball bearings. It is powerful enough to shoot through about 2cm of ply wood.
Consisting of a ball valve that is connected to a metal hook being pulled back by a spring. When cocked the hook latches onto the trigger, when the hook is latched onto the trigger the ball valve is closed. Air is released into the second chamber, and when the trigger is pressed it releases the hook, opens the ball valve releasing the air!
It's very hard to describe with words how it works, I hope this video will do a better job!

Unfortunately, while trying to make this gun more complex, I accidentally destroyed it. I am planning rebuilding it with more complex features, including a magazine and a rucksack consisting of 2 large fire extinguishers fully charged with air so i can easily connect it to the gun allowing for plenty of shots without recharging.
Here are some images I took of my pneumatic gun -
