Automatic charger

Miniature cannons are novelties made with materials such as bottles or pens.

Hello,
Apart from trade "charger"(cartridge clip ?), someone has built a "tinkered" model ?
What is the best solution.....
- Sping ?
- Gravity ?

Interested in your opinion

PS : I would like to ship 100/150 BB 0.25

Have you thought of making a "cloud" type BB machinegun?

You get a high rate of fire which is essential to air combat because the target only presents itself in the crosshair for a short time.

Also, it would be much simpler and lighter than your current designs, not exactly more efficient but that should not be a concern.

The power of concentrated fire is pretty awesome, I did this with 6 bar from a 2 litre Coke bottle:

All you would need is a single solenoid valve to fire, something like this is light and compact and will run on 12V: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/1-4-NPT-Electric ... 43b075ab59

jackssmirkingrevenge,

Yes, I thought the cloud of balls....
but 2 things I have a problem !

- Extensive air consumption
- The concept is much less technical!

I understand that it is more efficient, but I think a more technical concept more charm, of course, is my vision ....
If I do not find idea "satisfactory" I'll try your method ....

That's right, the French are complicated
Americans with Rambo and French with Napoleon ....
Of course, this is humor!

Complicated indeed :D

Back to the subject at hand, gravity fed magazines on an aircraft would be problematic unless you could guarantee that the plane was in an upright orientation when you needed to fire.

This video about high capacity airsoft magazines should help give you some ideas for an alternative:

Now where is that video with the 30 round aa-battery gun and the guy with the evil laugh??

I suggest using a magazine in line with the barrel though..

Maybe the airflow itself could be utilised to feed the bb's...??
I mean, that plane looks pretty fast...

Awsome machining btw!

I image a 6mm balanced valve wouldn't need much to fire it!

Aha!
Here is the video:

He uses a spring fed magazine ( you call it a charger)

Check this topic:

This is what I call a Charger:

Yes I saw this video! and the idea of the bolt which closes in "pushing" the shot I like!
I did not have this concept of "push" on my first two prototype..... :( But I think the next work with this system

I too has a "charger" this "generation" :bounce: :bounce:
I love américa !!!! 8)

The French call a magazine a "chargeur" (one of the things you pick up working with guns in Quebec...) so I'm guessing it was a direct translation :)

I'd be more partial to a Challenger after watching this :D

Isn't that Daisy Duke's vehicle of choice hehehe

Yes! this is my toy when the sun returns! But right now, it is rather the floods.... :x

To return to the topic.....

For the charger, I think about a model "Spiral" to save space!
Trade models are often too big and installation on a "house" prototype is not always easy ....

Right now you want a Schwimmwagen :D

Brian's suggestion for an airflow driven feed is an interesting one...

Maybe a sort of Ram Air Turbine? that drives a rotor instead of a spring as in the hi-cap airsoft magazine?

I've thought about an "all gas" as some paintball, And I made something similar !

Image

But there are two problems for me....
- The air consumption is very important
- Part of the energy is used to move the hammer, and the remaining energy is insufficient for shooting ....

In fact, after building several different models, I defined this: Obviously according to my needs
- The opening of the valve must be maximum, but for a short time!
- That the trajectory of the air is the most direct
High power, low consumption, low pressure ..... 3 elements to meet with some subtlety ....

I work on a new concept, I present the design when I finish :bounce:

PS : Can you explain "Schwimmwagen" Google translate do not understand.....

I think this as proposed on the other thread would fit the bill:

Direct path for the air, minimum energy needed to open the valve...

Currently the best sort of vehicle to have in many parts of Europe :D
