odd question about sound

Ok so when i first made my cannon C:18''x4''dia B:38''x2''...i used OLD SPICE deoderant spray and a rag rolled up tightly and duct taped. Fit VERY SNUG in barrel. When i fired it , it made a LOUD " THOOOOMMMMMMP!!! which was cool, i liked it. Now i have 2 interchangeable barrels. a 36''x2''dia and a 48''x1.5''dia.I now use STATIC GUARD as fuel...the old spice i was using was REALLY old and they dont make anymore. Now the cannon makes a VERY LOUD,(ear ringing) BANG like a shotgun...??????? I've tried a few different fuels but i cannot get that THOOOMMP sound back.

ACtually the only way i can, is to take barrel off, spray 2sec of fuel into open end of chamber, then fire right away.....it makes my thoomp but not as loud and the chamber flames up inside....which is cool lookin at night. Its cool to mess with friends , by surprising them in their rooms by a quick blast. U feel the heat from 15ft away and get a good puff of air at you.

any advice?

well the reason its so loud is first because ur ratio is Way to high, ur 2" barrel needs to be about doubled, and ur 1.5", is way off. not sure how to get the Thoomp back, but u need some differnt sized barrels or chop some of ur chamber off, its huge

Not all aerosols are created equal. Different fuels combust differently. The obviously has a higher percentage of fuel and less crap that acts as a buffer.
