Pop off valve triggering

I'm looking for a way to mechanically trigger a pop off valve. Make it full auto is easy, but semi is bothering me. I know I can somewhat make it semi by control the flow but I really want to make it pure mechanical and true semi.

Most of them either have a keychain type ring and/or a hole that the ring passes through. I'm sure you can rig up a trigger system that simply pulls the valve open. Taking a couple steps down in technology, you can always pull the ring with your finger.

Not sure if you got my question :p
I'm "homemading" the pop off valve and I'm planing use a trigger to avoid it to trigger off by it self. So if I hold the trigger, it will go full auto. I want it a mechanism that will allow semi as well.

Look at blueprints of actual firearm sears. I'm sure a blowback and sear could be made easily, especially with your skills and tool and such. I hope this doesn't go against any rules. I don't mean anything besides the sear mech.
