Harnessing precision mixtures of pressurized flammable vapor. Not for the beginner.

Has anybody thought about making a piston out of molten aluminum?

It's been done with epoxy and hot glue....If someone were so inclined, why not.

If you're capable of it, go for it. I have one machined from aluminium, so using aluminium itself is not a problem. You'll need to cut some o-ring grooves if you don't include them in the mould for casting.

Nice, as soon as I'm not working 7 fucking days a week I'll finish my forge and work on making it

I will make a new one out of my idea. I think that would be more interesting if it is really unique. :)
