Air volume from tank to chamber

I hate math lol, so Im looking for a simple calculator or something similar to figure out, basically, how many shots i could get out of an tank of one size and pressure to a chamber of another.

Specifically for this project, how many fills can i get from a 68ci 4500 tank into a ~450ci chamber at 100-125psi.

Set up a simple excel (or google spreadsheets, i.e. free) calculation for one instance, then click and drag it down to figure out when you're at the point of no return (i.e. your tank pressure = chamber pressure).

Math and Ballistics pretty much go hand in hand - it's a good idea to get friendly with math if you're in this hobby!

If I did this right, im getting only 6.8 times at 100psi....kinda pointless lol. how the hell are people here running big guns off little tanks?

just to make sure i did this right, does this look correct?

P1 - 4500psi
V1 - 68ci
P2 - 100psi
V2 - 450ci

4500*68 = 306000

306000/100 = 3060

3060/450 = 6.8 times it can be filled.

That is a safe approximation - and makes a lot of sense if you think about the vast inequalities in volumes!

That .8 after 6 won't yeild a 100psi shot either - so in reality you're only getting 6 full power shots out of that tank.

Not many people use paintball HPA tanks and expect any type of rapid firing or high shot count with such a large chamber volume. With such a large chamber (450cuin) you may also run into flow issues with the paintball tank in the time it takes to fill it - if you do plan on having it as a rapid fire gun.
