Hello Spudfiles. Ive been a lurker here for a long time, thought I would contribute something.

For the last few weeks I've been putting this cannon together. My aim was to make something minimalist and sturdy.

-Almost all of this cannon is copper and brass besides the steel handle and chain on either end. (and a bunch of solder)
-The insides are glued in with clear silicon. Originally I was going to rivet it all together.
-The entire barrel slides through the center of the cannon with a plunger attached to end. The idea is to push fresh air into the chamber as you pull back the barrel to load it. This needs improvement. Maybe a one way valve on the plunger.
-I have a small propane meter that attaches to the air connection under the barrel.

Besides all that its all pretty simple, Let me know what you think.
Also let me know if you can think of any improvements I can make, like a better way to install the lantern ignitor, I really would of liked to have the entire outer surface flat.

Fascinating configuration, make sure it's nice and polished on the inside :)
