Gunfire Sound Generator

Hi Guys,

I am new to the forums, so hello! I would like to build a Gunfire Generator to sound like an AR15 shot. This is to somehow be mounted to a HPA Airsoft Rifle for Milsim. I don't know if this is possible with compressed air and that I would have better luck with combustion but I have 2 HPA (3000psi) tanks so HPA is convenient.

The only limitations I have is that it needs to be as small as possible, very air efficient and only run on 1 tank at a time, simultaneously with my HPA at 6bar. My regulator gives off 6bar which most likely is not enough for what I want, so reluctantly I may be able to duel reg and split the line after the first one at ~27bar.

I can tell you that an AR-15 is extremely loud, especially next to structures. Trying to duplicate it exactly with HPA or a flammable gas isn't going to end spectacularly.

However, the guidelines here would be: a fast-acting valve if pneumatic, burst disks or a fast acting valve triggered by pressure if combustion, high flow, a short or non-existent "barrel", and high pressures. Also, the cross-sectional area and flow of the "valve" play a large factor as well.

Thanks for taking a look; this is what I saw recently:
It uses propane ignition, I have a propane canister and supply, but I thought compressed air may be a little safer as you don't want a spark anywhere near the reservoir...

Yup, not much information, but from what I can see it's posing as a 203 (large cross sectional area) and has a plug which moves forward when firing (pressure-actuated valve). That's just what I think I can tell from the video though.

Pulsing a 1/2 or 3/4 inch solenoid (can't remember size) with nothing attached to it and 60bar makes quite a bang, doubt it sounds like an AR15 but if you aren't expecting it it will make you jump.
