schrader valve install

Gday guys
I'm looking to make a bait castor cause i'm a quadriplegic and I need carers to cast for me, I have made this (not glued yet)
I don't know how to put the schrader valve in any advice would be great.

That schrader valve looks to be ok for at least up to some pressure. I believe most prefer to use threaded ones and tap a hole to part of the chamber in a place where there is a fitting and pipe so a double wall thickness area. This requires a drill + (probably) 1/8" pipe thread tap, so it requires more work and tools.

I have used schraders like that up to pressures far in exceeding what would be safe for PVC, so yes I believe it would be suitable, just make sure you tighten it up tight.

Easiest way is to get a threaded (1/8" or 1/4" commonly) from a hardware store, then use the proper fittings, adapters, and bushings to get down to that size from your pvc!

Also, double check your fittings are NSF-PW and not DWV, especially that big reducer.

my old mans got me worried bout the thing blowin up but it should hold 70-100 psi fine shouldn't it?

I don't know about your fittings because here in Finland we have different ones, but at the end of fitting there is normally a text that says if it's pressure rated etc.

Like Matti said, check the end of the fittings on the small edge portion. It will say on there. I know a guy whose chamber blew in that pressure range because he was using DWV, so make sure it isn't. Those bell reducers aren't typically meant for pressure.

I know you pointed the question to Gunfreak but I'll just say that there is two type of reducers 1 is the bell reducer and second is a bushing reducer. Bushing reducers are the common type in pressure rated fittings.

Awesome project!

If you intend to use relatively low pressures (say 50 psi) you can install it the same way it's installed in an automotive tire.

Can I also suggest using a sprinkler valve instead of a ball valve, since it can be fired electronically you could rig up a switch that is much easier to activate.
