Sprinkler valve works for one shot, then sticks open

Hey all,

I have recently built a tennis ball launcher, using a modified Orbit valve. Airgun is threaded into hole in cover, and solenoid holes are epoxied. The valve will reliably function on the first shot. But after the 1st, it sticks 'open' and just lets air through the barrel when I try to refill the chamber. If I take apart the valve and put it back together it will work again for one shot. (I assume doing this just re-seats the diaphragm?)

Any suggestions from the sprinkler valve experts?

Are you filling from the pilot side or from the chamber? If from the chamber, try switching to pilot filling as this will forcefully re-seat the diaphragm each time.
