Butane cannon build

Boom! The classic potato gun harnesses the combustion of flammable vapor.

I made here a small cannon that is intended to use butane gas. My first trial ended up in failure. I am going to build a more reliable igniter that also seals the chamber. I am wondering though if my chamber is too small for gas?

Your air / fuel mix is probably wrong. There is page after page of great discussion here on those topics.

How big is your chamber and how are you metering your gas?

For small volumes, a syringe is the best idea:

Using a typical fill valve for butane lighter. I need to install an o ring in rear seal, and working in igniter module 3.5v dc to 40kv ac

In that case it's almost guaranteed that you have far too much fuel in your chamber. I really recommend the syringe method for accurate filling.
