Longevity of potato gun versus safety question

I was wondering if a gun can be used so much that the integrity of the pvc might be in jeopardy. Could it become fragile? If it's not used too much should a gun be abandoned after a period or years due to aging of pvc? Thank you for your comments.

You could compare firing a spudgun to water hammer in a plumbing system. Therefore, you would have to assume that your barrel would be in jeapordy more than your chamber.

Basicly these pipe are pressure rated. They are made to handle a lot of pressure in a long time and all days longs.
