I was wondering if a gun can be used so much that the integrity of the pvc might be in jeopardy. Could it become fragile? If it's not used too much should a gun be abandoned after a period or years due to aging of pvc? Thank you for your comments.

The affects of aging are negligable if stored properly. (garage no uv light)
I don't think you have anything to worry about. Just pulling numbers out of my ass, it would take like 9,000 firings to significantly weaken the pipe.

On a much shorter term, however, rapid firing of the cannon (such as in semi-auto combustions and pneumatics) can weaken the pipe. But you would really need to be firing for like 10 minutes nonstop for the PVC pipe to become weak

You could compare firing a spudgun to water hammer in a plumbing system. Therefore, you would have to assume that your barrel would be in jeapordy more than your chamber.

Basicly these pipe are pressure rated. They are made to handle a lot of pressure in a long time and all days longs.
