my nephews are now old enough to play Nerf. I'd like to play shooting games with them in the woods behind my house but i dont want plastic nerf darts littering the area. i need a biodegradable alternative. low impact (JT splatmaster) paintball guns are still too powerful for them. i was thinking of making a handful of very low power (under 100fps) vortex BB machine guns. does anybody know if i can use those polymer water beads in a vortex bbmg? or will the beads disintegrate in the vortex before they even make it to the barrel?

Never actually handled them but in this fellow's video test you can see them bouncing off after being shot at a wall, I would say they would probably survive being put in a low pressure vortex gun.
