hey... i just decided to make my first cannon a few days ago... and i thought a bbq iginiton would be cool... but i cant really get the dam thing to spark big enough to make this 20% nitro crap i have go off... im not to sure if its supposed to be a reallly big blue line but mine looks more like a white "piece of hair"{... bout 3/4 of a cm long...
so i would appreciate if you guys could help me wiht this problem... if this is a retarted post u can go ahead and get rid of it, but i would appreciate the help -- Thanks

What is this 20% nitro crap you are trying to ignite? This is most probably the problem.
A spark gap from a piezoelectric BBQ igniter should be no more than about ~1/8" to work good. Small gaps work great for me.

that nitro junk is for little 1/8 scale r/c cars... they go about 60 mph...
its pretty.... pretty flamable stuff
but i guess ill shop around for somthing that might work better

hey... sumthin else... im useing a one inch screw to make the connection... i was wonderin if thers somthing else i could use thats more reliable... or just a better over all conducter cuz it only works about 1 out of every 15 clicks

The R/C car nitro fuel works just great. All you have to do is put a cap full of it into the chamber then roll your cannon horizontally to coat the chamber with the fuel. It actually works very well and gives off a huge blue flame.
