I always wanted to make a reloading system with the magtube under the barrel like pump-action shotguns have, or winchesters.

I based this design on a "falling block"pistol replica I once had.
That design was the predesessor to the "Vulcan" pistol that inspired the winchester rifle.

Instead of just the usual falling block that just opens the breech I gave the block an opening to pick up ammo from the mag tube under the barrel.

It's simply an elevator that drops down, ammo rols in from the mag tube, the elevator moves back up and lines up the ammo with the barrel.
Well the pics should explain.
I put the parts in the vice to squeeze them tightly onto each other to get an airtight seal.
It's airtight when I blow on it, but the block can still move.

It's possible to use this system to load spuds using the block as the mag as well.Just make a longer block with more holes containing the spuds and move it in by hand.

well it's too ugly too use really.This is the prototype.

I built it so the idea wouldn't stay just a theory.
On a gun it should be slick.Much better alligned, with a drillpress, more accurate and compact.
The copper pipes you see are 28 mm.
It could also be used upside down with the block popping out on top, for single shot loading without the need for a mag.
That might be better ( and more compact) for actual spud-guns.
It enables you to reload faster than even a bolt-breech loader.
I have too little time but I would like to use this on my ( now CO2 powered) hard copy.

gives me an idea for a pump system on the mag tube...
cut a 6mm slit all the way down the magtube and put a 28mm circular disk on the inside of the pipe attatched to a piece of 6mm copper(sticks out the slit) and then attatch a handle to the 6mm copper like a pump action handle, you load the projectile,load the circular disk and handle in the mag tube so the handle is on the outside and the disk on the inside and when you slide it back it will load the projectile in your wooden lift thing.

i may of over looked something it was just a spur of the moment idea.

The ammo can be pushed by a spring ( or gravity when you aim up)
and a pump-style foregrip can move the falling block...yes that is possible!

Either with an extra lever arm or by making an I slot in the box and a screw in the falling block , and then a ____/ slot in the pump handle ( slot is drawn upside down )

yeah i thought it was gravity loaded by aiming up but a pump will always look better...maybe you could try it in your next prototype

how about this? would the ammo tube not be air tight enough?

im try something simular but a fully automatic rotary cannon and that pic might help me in this design or just a full auto cannon thx, i will post mr designs if any1 wants 2 see

I like and who cares if it looks ugly aslong as it works a treat.
