I was randomly browsing mcmaster and I came across "exhaust mufflers" (page 312). I was thinking, would these work well to shut up annoying pilot valves? I use a 1" pilot valve on my large piston cannon and it makes a really annoying high pitched noise when you release it. It seems like it would be a good idea.

It would also restrict the flow, and slow the muzzle velocities.
