Quick Exaust Valves Vs. Sprinkler Valves

I am creating my first pnumatic spud gun, and am curious about the advantages/disadvantages of Qevs and sprinkler valves. Which one is better for dumping more air faster? Are Qevs Pressure rated? Why do most of the pnumatic guns here have Sprinkler valves? any infomation would be great. Thnx.

QEV's will dump air much faster, they're rated for pressure, usually about 150 PSI. most guns use sprinklers because they're more easily obtainable. my only complaint about qev's is that they're a bit more expensive, and if you're filling from a quick connect instead of a schrader valve you need to shut off the air flow to a QEV, while you can leave the air going to a sprinkler.
