Depending on the exact type of pipe, it varies, but SCH 40 2.5" pipe fits tennis balls quite well, or in general you could use massive spuds.

Lightbulbs actually fit good. Just get one to where it'll survive the launch, (A.K.A. - fill it with concrete. ).
