Me and my brother have come up with a theory. We think it's possible to silence a barrel sealer with any bore size.
What if, you where to place a second piston in the barrel, and attach that to the main piston via a steel cable.
Just short enough to stop the piston from exiting the barrel.
The momentum of the seconday piston would be partially buffered by the weight of the main piston, wich it probably pulls shut.
A spring could be added to make the process easier on the components.
The piston inside the barrel would have to be slightly leaky, or, a bleed valve should be fitted to the barrel, for reloading purposes.
Please tell me what you think.
simple yet effective large bore silencer!!!

that would be very stressfull on the cable and whatever you mounted it to, but it should work
