Hey everyone whats going on. Im new here and totally new to the whole spud cannon comminuty. I saw my first tater cannon years back and always wanted to build one myself and finally did. Ive seen some unbelievable cannons out there on these sites so mine isn't anything to brag about, but for my very first one I have to say Im really please how it turned out. I finished it over the weekend and test shot it the other night and today. I was highly impressed with some of the shots it busted out and others weren't so great, but Im still learning. I heard about this site from spudtech and they told me to come here and talk with you all to learn more. So heres a few pics of my first cannon and a short video from today. On camera, its nearly impossible to see the tater shortly after it being shot out of the barrel... but atleast you can see how fast it does fly out. This was a pretty good shot, but I did have some that went a lot further. Anyways I thought I'd show ya'll.

Thanks... yes it is a 3" chamber and 2" barrel.... the chamber is like 17 - 18"'s and the barrel is 24" .... ive had a few people tell me i should shorten the chamber.

That might be a good idea,A short fat chamber is better that a small long chamber, unless your using metered propane then it doesn't matter.I would suggest taking the ignitor and the barrel and making a 4" chamber With a removable barrel set up that would definately increase the power and probably the consistansy to.

Jeez that thing is pretty quite. First combustion I made sounds like a cannon going off. But it makes it a good 300 - 400 feet.

I like the trigger placement :)

Thanks ya'll......... believe it or not i was offered $100 bucks for it the other day..... and heres the kicker..... i turned the guy down! I know its stupid, i have $40 in it...... but i have so much fun with it and its such a fun cannon that I just told him I couldn't sell it. I told him i'd build him one just like it for that but he couldn't have my first born lol.... he passed and said he needed it by the next day. O'well.
