Vortex Question

I'm planning on building a vortex gun, and i was just wondering how often do you have to rebuild the vortex block? I think I'm gonna build the bondo type, if you have any advice or answers, please post

You're using Bondo (bad) with which type of BBs? You'll be able to get about 5000 steel BBs, 5000 Copper BBs, maybe 10000 airsoft. Use acrylic, PVC, or Delrin, they'll last over 2 years and over a million rounds.

I eventually decided to make the vortex block out of 5min epoxy, It works great and i really recommend it.

How much of that stuff do you have? I imagine it would work just fine, although the price would be overwhelming...

it took 3 tubes of epoxy, so it was 5.99 for all of it, but the hardest part of making it was cutting it, i used a band saw and it still was like cutting concrete. lolz

So which should you stay away from and which should you use?

I think Kenny said that you only get 10k from bondo, and that aluminum and pvc are good

I'll make a little list.
Aluminum:
Very strong, can last pretty much forever, although heavy. Expensive!

PVC:
Strong, replace it after a couple years, relatively light. Medium expensive, hard to find.

Acrylic:
Strong, replace after a couple years, light. Extremely cheap, you can pick it up at any plastics store.

Bondo:
Crappy, light, expensive. Not much more to say.

Epoxy:
Strong, kind of expensive, easy to get.

Happy?
I would strongly recommend acrylic, but I've only made about 10 blocks out of it.
