Pill bottle

Hey, today i saw some cannons and thought wow i want to make 1 :p so i looked for something basic and saw a pill bottle blowgun type thing. so i decided to try and construct it when it was ready i added a paper ball into the barrel and sprayed some lynx into the pill bottle and ignited but nothing happened.


here is how i made it:

Sorry for the atempt at a diagram :p, obveously the wires are joined to the ignitor. And the ignitor is working because i can shock myself with it.

are you sure that it even combusted? because minis are highly finickey.

lol its supposed to be a pill bottle with a pen out at one end, the cap at the other .. then half way 2 screws at opposit ends which are wired to an ignitor.No i dnt know if it ignited thats why im posting to see if anyone knows what may be going wrong :s god help me when i try to build a full sized pnumatic one

Is the igniter making a spark inside the pill bottle?

Try using less Lynx once you've made sure it is sparking.

nope it isnt sparking between the two pins :s, the ignighters i got where out of a lighter and only had one wire off them, so i attatched a wire to the wire onto the pin, and then attatched a wire to the same ignition wire and to another pin, but for some reason i feel this is wrong :p

Er yeah.... a spark can't travel from one live wire to the SAME live wire.

I've got little knowledge of how exactly single wire sparkers are rigged but there should be another metal bit or wire on the sparker body that is the partner of the visible wire and that the spark will jump to.

Theres the cap that i press that is metal but the rest is platic. damn english engineering :p would i just rig a wire to this? :s

Eoo i got it workin, omg thats soo kl :p lol does anyone from the uk know a good place to get materials for a bigger gun, mabe a pnumatic?

For the short answer go to B&Q, Homebase, Focus or whatever your local DIY place is and buy copper pipe.
