Are you thinking of blowguns as in poison dart guns tribal peoples use? I can't see how they wouldn't allow what is essentially a valve. And if they are that bad I'd be super careful making a spudgun.
Look on the internet, I bet www.usplastics.com has them, if not them then McMaster-Carr but that's pricey.

so are you saying you cant mave a blow gun like this http://www.canadiantire.ca/browse/produ ... 6928435377
Personally I'ld stay away from pvc ball valves.
Plastic ball valves are hard to open fast.
They also have a short handle.
Metal ball valves require a lot less force, and also have a longer handle.
heating the body of a brass ball valve loosens them up some more,
All that I've worked with (threaded or sweat) use the same seals so if you don't go over solder temperature you won't hurt them.
your mileage may vary , so maybe testing the valves at your parts store would save you some future headaches.
hope this helps

what is the justification your government gives for banning a convenient and useful valve? did some one stick one in their ear at 200 psi and go deaf?!

i think the goverment is referring to the aboriginal ones that shoot darts. not one like what goes on an air compressor am i right? cause i don't see how a valve would be illegal
super spudder tks..guess i misunderstood the law..
ok.. so if i have a blowgun, how do i link it up WITHOUT a sprinkler valve? Can' tget my hands on 1 here- probably because not many houses have lawns.. i live in an apartment.. and so do many.
