Boom! The classic potato gun harnesses the combustion of flammable vapor.

Hey all- well I just applied some JBWeld to the outside of my gun tonight--and was just checkin that I should be okay with fumes- i.e. they aren't flammable...I don't think I should worry because its not inside the chamber at all......But just wanna be sure...

Oh and allowing 24 hours for the PVC fumes to dissipate..I would be shooting it for the first time around 4 in the afternoon tomorrow- I used the PVC glue around 3 this afternoon..

To the extent of my knowledge there's nothing in JB Weld that should put off flamable fumes.
But just to test, mix up a small bit of it, put it in a closed container (tupperware container, ziplock bag, film canister, etc...) for awhile (til its mostly dry) and try to light it. If it doesn't light, I'd say you're fine.

Peace,
Pete Zaria.

Once JB weld has formed solid then there shouldn't be any fumes at all.
Airbeds... so many different uses

I've used JB on homemade alchohol stoves for a while now.I've never been able to get JB to light, even wet.So there should be nothing flammable at all.
