Mounting a pressure gauge, NEED HELP!

Hi, I bought a 0-500PSi pressure gauge from American Science and Surplus for $2.75, it says "Cyl. Press." on it, black metal frame , looks very world war 2-ish. I like! However, it has 1/4 NPT threads on the back, and I'm wondering how the HELL I could hook this thing up to the chamber on my PVC sniper rifle. If I can't, I won't.... however, this project is DUE tuesday night, and so far I've checked home depot and lowe's with no luck. I'd prefer a 4-6" braided metal hose of some sort, and hook the hose up to the pressure chamber, and then ziptie the gauge where I want it, but I'm getting rather desperate now.

Please help me out, and tell me where I could get a hose with mounting ability to PVC pipe, or something!

PS: I'll show off the gun when it's done. It's going to be sick. REALLY REALLY long sniper rifle, CPVC barrel for paintballs, bipod, laser, flashlight, and breech action loading.

You can just tap a 1/4 NPT nipple or street elbow into the chamber, epoxy it, and then screw in the gauge right there. If you want it on a hose, use barb (compression) fittings with hose clamps.

Please help. Standard NPT threads, and I'd like some sort of braided hose 4-6" long to screw onto the gauge, and then screw the hose into the chamber somehow. Please, PLEASE help. I can see that people are reading this topic. Please respond.

I have to use hose clamps eh? There's no braided hose with NPT fittings avialable? That's kinda ghetto. Where do I get hose rated for 200PSI?

Home depot sells vinyl braided hose (the clear kind with webbed look) in the plumbing/faucet section. You can just tap a 1/4 compression fitting into the chamber, and have 1/4 compression/threaded to attach to the gauge. The only other kind of hose I can think of you might be talking about is for gas line, which is just going to be a hell of a lot more complicated to install. And I personally like the look of compression fitting hoses.

I found a fitting that worked, it was an adaptor for a sink sprayer, and it went from the funky tiny little threads to pipe thread, which I then used another adaptor to use a braided stainless steel hose with compression fittings. Today I cut the grip using the table saw, which looks pretty trick, and got the gun generally together. Tomorrow I do final assembly, wiring, and testing, followed by a sweet paintjob. This gun is sick. It's HUGE, and really mean looking.

NPT means NPT.
That means NPT will work with NPT, that doesn't mean "garden hose threads.
