This depends on what your shooting, and how large you want your capicity to be. if your using .177 metal bb's id say go with the 1 1/2. But 6mm airsoft's are larger so you would probably want 2" for that.

1 1/2" 1 1/4" and 1" work great, it depends on how much ammo you wnat to use.
and teh smaller, the more power.

I usually use 1" SDR 21 or 1 1/4," it fits my usually vortex block size well, holds plenty of ammo, and is compact and powerful. It also doesn't look huge and is capable of looking like cool little SMGs.

Is it going to be an inline gun or the T design?

If you use a "half hole" vortex block (which I heartily advise), go with a size smaller than 2," unless you want the barrel coming out of the very bottom of the gun.

Well, this evening I made a 1 1/8" vortex block inside a 1 1/2" pipe.Lets hope it works. The barrel comes out dead center in my plug and my block sits perfect in the pipe.It just kinda worked out perfect, hows that for luck.
