Hey all, well i ordered the stuff for my sniper rifle yesterday, and have been working on my magazine design. I have the magazine figured out, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to form an airtight seal. details in the picture, thanks guys,

EDIT: I was thinking of just using a couple o-rings on the bolt, and on the barrel, that way even if air did escape, it would have nowhere to go, but just straight back into the barrel, what do you think??? I think it should work, right?

You could add a rubber coupling over the bold or barrel.

not sure if it would suffice (SP?) but I know that people have used them for creatoing a seal between a barrel and piston/bolt ECT.

I would be easier (I think) to make the bolt part bigger, as so it goes over the barrel. It can be done by heating it up a few times, as heat = expansion.

hope that helps a little.

Yea i was thinking the same thing, of makin the bolt part bigger. A coupling wouldn't work though, because of how my breech loader is made, and how tight the barrel is inside the 3/4" pvc-there wouldn't be enough room for it./

aghh! that was the post that i made for a breechloader, but nobody could understand the damn thing, so therefor thank you for posting this. anyway, i dont think that it ill matter to much whether or not it has a seal, but to attach it to the chamber, use a union (duh).

I understood your diagram this is different.

Angle the front of the bolt and the inside of the barrel.

I'm pretty sure that a friction seal between the bolt and barrel will do fine, most homemade breeches are not super air tighit but it's all just flow and not presure in the reciver

I' try too make a video but since the spring is still crappy

BUT EVERYONE the voting time is soon vote for me, I promise to get a video ASAP, and If I win I will even write a HOW TO for a mill-less,lathe-less, beltsander-less, bolt action cartridge reciver design and the 3way blowgun I might write the how-to s anyways but I'll be more motivated if I do well

It's in the deux ex machina thread

k thanks pyro..now to wait for my parts....

EDIT: I shouldn't say i don't have a design at all. I have a magazine loading design, it's just a question of testing it. IT's the ejection system that I have no idea how to do
