I think that this may have been tried or done but I am not sure, theres my disclaimer. Anyway, I was straing at the computor, I really should be studying for dynamics tmmr but whatever and I thought of this. Say you took a piece of pipe maybe 10 inchs long and towards one end was a coupler and then a short peice of pipe say 2 inches. The coupler would be able to lock to the longer piece of pipe and used as a union in that you would put a burst disk there. At the other end of the pipe would be a cap or most likely a plug with a small airtight hole to allow a pin to transit through and all the way to the burst disk. So in theory you could charge the piece of pipe and then use it as a regular cartidge in a blowback gun. Oh yea and the small piece of pipe in the front of the coupler would contain your projectile. I am not sure about the gun tp try it out in but hopefully you could make a completely auto gun. Any thoughts on this? Or I am just tired and in desperate need of sleep?

Probable the later, it would be simpler to burn it out with a model rocket engine igniter on the project side so you don’t have to worry about seals.
Call me "Judge", it's easier to type.
