When you put the screws through the pvc does it matter what kind of screws you use and how do you know how big of a gap to put between the screws for the right spark

1. No. I personally use bolts with rubber washers and locknuts for safety, but heck, its your launcher.
2. Most sparks go about 1/8 of an inch.

what do you mean for safety, so it dont shock you? I will probaly heat shrink the tops and cover in electrical tape
