3.1 0z airsource bottle

I am currently redesigning my m700 sniper rifle. For the chamber I found a used 3.1 oz airsource "cartridge" as they call it, like this one.

I want to know how I can use this for a chamber on my gun without using a complicated setup.

yes you can, but i belive its commonly done using TIG, or OXYACE setups. im probably wrong but i think you could do it with a stick or MIG machine using special rods/wire.

or did you mean does he have the abaility to weld aluminum?

You'll still need a regulator (unless every component behind your valve, including the valve, is capable of taking unregulated CO2 pressures) but if you have one, then sure you can use these, you'd just need to find a fitting with the same size threads. I'd just buy one of the cartridges, measure the threads, and start looking around.

Actually... I just thought of this... I could cut off the threaded part at the seam, and thread the inside of the tank at the neck at 1/4 in size... would this work??

You could get the adaptor that turns it into the ASA threads for paintball tanks. From that I believe the theads work with 1/2" pipe from hardware stores.

Oh yeah, i didnt even think of that. i actually used a 1/2" adapter to attach a 12g CO2 adapter to one of my guns before. oops.

These are actually used for bb and pellet guns, so I'm sure that you could find a store that sells spare parts for bb guns, and then buy an adapter that would connect it to your gun.

You can usually find those Co2 tanks from Walmart and the adaptor for paintball guns in the Paintball section in Sporting Goods.

they sell an adapter for it so you can put it on ur paintball gun or w/e

I am not to sure but if you made the gun from PVC then you could thread it to end cap maybe? i am not sure but drill a hole slightly smaller then thread it. and if you are going to use this idea i would sagest always using the end cap for threads there easier to replace.

Your problem with using a an adapter of some sort like the paintball ASA is that you'll have very bad flow through the gun.The porting on those adapter and the neck size of the little co2 tank won't allow the higher volume needed for a marble gun.I'm assuming that you are NOT running Co2 out of it, rather using the tank as a low pressure chamber. You could try threading the inside but that may also pull out since the tanks differ ever so slightly as to the width of the neck and such.Barely noticeable but may still pose a problem.
