noobie pneumatic question

hi ive made combustions before but i am gonna embark on making my 1st pneumatic that shoots marbles or paintballs. how do i attach a bike nozzle from an innertube onto pvc?

if you salvaged the thing from a bike tire, then drill a hole in the pvc and epoxie it in place. you would be better off getting some pop in tire valves from your local aouto store. just drill and pop em in.

Don't use a tire valve from an inner tube, they usually won't be as nice as one you buy. I got mine from Pepboys for like 5 dollars for a pack of three.

Its all good man. Just drill and epoxy but let it cure properly just for safety.

I'd say also use nuts. The strain of the valve is quite large when attaching the pump -- epoxy might just break, typically after your first shot at the range, 2km from home

when i made my pneumatic i used a threaded schreader with teflon tape and i had no issues with leaking or breaing epoxy.

I cycle and the inner tube valves I get are kenda and have a nut that makes it air tight. They work brilliantly. Just ask for a road bike tube.
Just make sure your pump has a place for it though, because it is a smaller fitting!

My valves just have nuts on them with a rubber seal. I just screwed it in, no epoxy or glue.

if have an old car/anthing not a bike tire with a pop in valve you can cutout just below the metal tube inside of it. next you shave of the all the rubber and ,useing a die, give the metal stem threads. i found that 1/4-20 works best for this because it is a fairly common size and it easy to find nuts and rubber washers for. this may not be the best method for most people because of lack or resorces but for me its great because i get free threaded schraders and 100% seals
