My friend and I tried using Axe KILO as a propellant for our new PVC potato gun. We tried a huge range of amounts, but it would not ignite. The ingredients are as follows:
SD Alcohol 40B, Butane, Hydroflorocarbon, Fragrance, isopropyl myristate.
Not only would it not ignite in the barrel, but it also refused to ignite even when being sprayed into a lighter. We only got a small flame that hardly looked like anything. Any ideas on how to get it to work? We typically tried spraying from 1 sec to .25 sec of spray into the 4"x16" chamber. No luck though.

Too little for that big of a chamber. Are you sure it won't ignite through a lighter? Try spraying it then lighting the lighter.

Don't listen to this idiot. Even if you still used propane too much of it will fail to ignite in the chamber, and meth spirits is a liquid and tends to burn not combust. Well technically it combusts but its weak.

Try spraying longer then 1sec but not longer then about 4ish. Also try deoderants just to see if you can get that to ignite.

with a chamber that large you need to spray a good amount in, even with my 3" chamber I need to spray 2 seconds

forget axe use Palmolive cooking spray(non stick cooking spray), the stuff burns real nice. but it leaves this horrible film on the chamber though so you need to clean it every once and a while

W00T ignition!!! And I'm not pulling PVC shrapnel out of myself! Anyway, about 2-3 seconds of AXE got me that quite satisfying BOOM! Too bad I was doing so much debugging that I ended up undoing the working dual ignition to see if single ignition would work. The gaps were too far apart for a spark to jump between two screws so I'm going to have to put on those nuts i put on the ends of the screws to reduce the gap. Thanks for your help, I cant wait to show this thing off tomorrow.
