Smoke Bombs

I just got back from vacation at the beach. I brought my pneumatic rifle. My dad brought some smoke bombs, and we shot them out of my gun. In short, it ruled!!!!!! If you've never tried it, you should!

Note: My dad is a cop, and he says that in the state of Oregon, where I live, smoke bombs are not classified as fireworks, as they don't burn. Just let the fuse get low before loading it. This is the only reason I would EVER consider shooting smoke bombs.

I don't know if this idea is old or not, but I know for sure that it's a lot of fun!

Discussion of solid propellants, explosive devices or incendiary projectiles fired specifically from a spud cannon is prohibited, and may result in a permanent banning of your account.For the purpose of this forum, these definitions will be used:
Solid propellant: Any substance containing all the chemical elements required to enable sustained combustion without the presence of additional oxidizers. This includes but is not limited to gunpowder, thermite, and many commercial and/or homemade pyrotechnic compounds.

For this purpose, ordinary flour, though solid, would not qualify.

Yea, agreed with spudthug. If you want to discuss soudguns, it's cool, if you want to discuss smokebombs, it's cool, we've established that it's not against the rules. But incendiary projectiles, including smokebombs, is against forum rules. And I'm pretty sure it's a felony in most states as well.

And I don't know where your dad got the idea that they don't burn, of course they burn, that's where the smoke comes from...

EDIT: Granted, they probably aren't classified as fireworks, but that's because there's no flash powder in the contents. Either way, it's still an incendiary projectile.
