    I recently spent about $100 on making a simple combustion cannon(10 in. chamber...36 in. barrel)...but it wont work!..I think it has something to do with the ignition...I tried BBQ and camera flash ignition.both BBQ and camera ignitions always make a spark when i test the cannon without fuel inside..but i dont think it makes a spark when there is fuel in the chamber, Then i thought it had to do with the air/fuel mix, so i installed a fan.....guess what?!..it still doesnt work. I spray about 3 seconds of right guard into the chamber, turn the fan on for 3 seconds...charge the camera.....and ignite....but nothing happens...ive been trying to make my spudgun work for about a month...and im about to give up.... :( ......or make a pneumatic cannon..... :) .......I would EXTREMELY appriciate it if someone could help me out.

thanks,

I guess I should post the info here but no longer does Rightguard work. They changed the formula and it is no longer flamable.

My canons are very difficuld to ignite too(with a piezo sparker from a lihgter) so I use a capasitor.

It sounds to me like your fuel is not combustable like PCGUY mentioned. Without being able to see the gun and try to ignite it, that is all I can think of other than the possibility of the fuel/air mix. Best of luck man, and don't give up.

you can modify your posts, they hate it when people double post. and just becuase it has alot of flammable fuels, doesnt mean that the quantity of them add up to as much as just one or two in another fuel
