Pump action vs. "normal" trigger

As my semi-auto paintball gun is nearing completion (not really, but it makes me happy saying that ), I am faced with a decision.
As the title sugests, its pump action verses a "normal" trigger. (I put normal in inverted caommas because its not actually a truly normal setup either)
To fire my cannon, a piston needs to travel back 35mm (aprox. 1.6").
A "normal" trigger, that pulls back from the finger exerting a backward force would be cool, but perhaps a bit hard and far to pull.
The pump action would be ideal because its not too far or hard to pull back for pump action, and could look quite cool, although perhaps not as good as "normal" trigger. It wont because it may disturb the paintball gun like image it has.
Basically its practicality vs. image
I sway towards pump action, but I am now asking for comments, advice etc. on the debate. Your relevant 2 cents will be appreciated and taken into consideration.

Oh, LOL. Yeah, it actually wont be click-click-boom though, more clic...BOOM! because it fires as the pump reaches the end, then resets to reload and refill.
So do you think pump action then?

That wouldn't be overly cool. Surely you can add a separate trigger.

But then it wouldnt be semi-auto. Then the loading would be on pump action, and the firing on a stiff trigger. I think I would rather just stick with the practicle pump action than have a manual and stiff trigger

Although against the majority vote, I have decided that it will be pump action now. This is because I believe that a gun should be practicality and performance over aesthetics. The pump action will allow higher ROF, and easier firing in general. I am still open to disscussion and have not firmly decided on either yet. I am only starting trigger construction on the weekend, so please give more comments as I would like the best for this cannon
I will post diagrams of what the two options will roughly look like later.

im guessing when you have a realy slow action,,,, such as oneumatic rams ect....

OK next question. Why is the distance so far?

OK, I think people are missing the point a little. The pump action is triggered as it reaches the back, so its also a semi-auto! Its basically the exact same as the normal trigger, except the one looks like a pump, and the other a trigger.
Spanerman: No, the ROF will be quite high. I am aiming for 2 RPS or more.
Paaiyan: It has to move a couple of pistons for loading and actuation, you will see when I post the diagram.

Maybe you should just add a "decorative trigger" for your other hand so it looks "authentic.

It would be pretty funny then, because if someone tried to "cock" it, it would actually shoot! I think I might just so that because I was aiming for it to look similar to the tippmannA5 in aesthetics, just slightly bigger.
