I find that i have to put several fittings into pvc Caps, and i use JBweld on the inside and the outside.

Only thing is, its A. A pain to mix it. B. a Bigger paint to make sure you have enough hardening compound that it hardens properly.

So is there some other epoxy, that is easier to apply and capable of <150 PSI

Almost any commercial epoxy will hold 150psi no problem. Adralite is a common marine epoxy and I've seen it hold 300+ psi.

Look around your local hardware store, try marine shops, etc... Some of it is single-phase and some of it you have to mix.

JBweld is really intended to be used in applications that require a metallic bond. People have told me it shouldn't have worked, but I fixed a cracked cylinder head on my lawnmower with jbweld and it still runs fine...

i use ados pvc cement. no mixing just paint it straight on whatever your gluing

no, there is nothing better than j-b weld.

way back in 1969 i was hotrodding around in my father's '65 mustang, i cracked the block of the 289. oops. the car sat for 5 yrs. before anything was done to it. my father came across some j-b weld and fixed the block. my father is long gone but the mustang still runs and the engine has not been replaced. just broke 175K miles this summer.

yes as allways. the one time ive had a cannon blow up was when my dad said that it dryed straight away as a joke (was my first cannon) naturaly it got to 40 psi then sepated and put a hole in the garage wall

you're dad sounds like a crazy bloke. and if i where u i would use pvc primer and cement. it is actually cheaper than epoxy in the long run.

i have had tremendous success with devcon epoxy putty. i had a high stress joint on a vortex fail when using jb weld, put some epoxy putty in its place and it hasn't given me any trouble. i have played about 10 games with it and smashed it into a bunch or trees and shrubs and still hasn't failed.

Epoxy in the 2 syringes next to each other is easy and has 2400psi bond pressure. I use it to seal cracks in pistons.

yeh that was pretty crazy f.c but i dont think that he actualy though i was going to test then and there. i could have blown a part anyway at higher pressure as we later found out there was some weird stuff on the 3in end cap that was stopping the pvc setting.
