New Marble rifle

This is a new rifle I built. It is the first one having seen one on another site. I then found this wonderful place and joined. I would post some pictures but can't get the camera to work. I used a 1.5'' screw pipe for the barrel and a 1.5'' ball valve triggering device. I made the rest out of 1/2'' copper pipe and fittings, and 1.5'' PVC pipe for the tank and made a wooden stock for it. It now starting to look like a modern rifle. I have shot aa batteries, in it lead balls, and picked up some marbles for it. I wanted to shoot marbles in it and they are 16mm size. The galvenized barrel is small for the marbles and they are a real tight fit. I jammed one down inside the barrel and it went about 6'' and stopped. I charged it up to blow it out and man did it fly. I was afraid it was there for the duration. I need to polish the barrel with something to take the pits out and the 16mm would be fine. I will post pictures when I can. Polishing the inside of the barrel would be easiest done by going down to harbor freight and picking up a dremel with a 3' flexible extention for like 19 bucks usd i think and running it up and down the barrel with like a small stone in it. if thats what you're trying to accomplish.

I took the pictures but the file is to big, and I cant load them. To bad too they turned out real good. Maybe I could get some advice on here how to down size them. Thanks Chuck

Upload them to www.photobucket.com or you could go into MS paint and re-size the image smaller until the file is small enough for spudfiles to upload it

Dremals are high speed, that being said he has a copper barrel. A stone or sanding drum would cut it to shreads. If you want to polish it get 3M cleaning pads, (the red square ones), tear some off so it balls up tight and push it from end to end about 100 times. It's way more work, but the results will be more to your liking.

Guys this rifle is looking pretty good guess you will have to take my word for it can't load the photos. Oh another thing the barrel is made out of galvenized 1/2 pipe its not going to hurt that to sand the inside I will try the dremal trick. Made another gun today to mess around with its a 1/2'' PVC ball vale air tank is a coke bottle.Hope it dont blow up when I push the air to it. By the way how old are you guys I'm just a Kid myself just 48 years young. Thanks for the advice Chuck

You could just Google " resize images" or "resize photos", and you'd get several useful sites. Somewhat time consuming, but well worth it.
