I got a few questions for my pneumatic. I just bought all the parts yesterday so I haven't put anything together yet. Sorry for all the questions, I'm new to pneumatics.

How exactly does a bolt system work? Are they safe? Because I want a semi auto gun.

What size is a paintball barrel?

Should I used JB Weld to put my pressure gauge/Schrader valve in or should I just drill a hole, wrap some Teflon tape around it, and screw it in?

How can I regulate the amount of air used? Like I want a semi auto gun, but don't want to recharge my tank every shot (4" by 3'). Or does a sprinkler valve handle this?

By bolt system do you mean a blow-forward bolt? You might want to have a look here: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/blow-fo ... 10035.html and here: http://www.gizmology.net/pbm.htm

A paintball barrel is usually made out of 3/4" cpvc. CPVC is tan colored and it means Chlorinated Poly-Viynl Chloride. I have also heard 3/4" sch80 works good too but I am not completely sure about that.

If you have the screw-in type schrader valve I would suggest going down to your hardware store and buying a 1/4" or 1/8" pipe tap depending on what size your your threads on the schrader valve are. And yes, after you drill your hole and tap it("tap" means to put threads in a hole) put teflon tape on the schrader or pressure guage and screw it in.

I suggest if you are making a semi auto gun is to use a small air chamber and have it filled by a larger chamber with a regulator between the two.

Oh gosh no. That's way too complicated for my first gun. I also said semi auto, not fully auto.

What should I use for a regulator? How much would it cost?

Oh BTW, if you haven't figured already, I'm trying to make this gun so I can use it efficiently and effectively in paintball.

How about a paddle interuptor feed system in a Tee fitting that can be used in semi-auto even though this gun is full auto: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4108&

3 pictures, no diagram. No clue where to begin.

But I think I found exactly what I need here.

Except I don't really know how it works. Should I try contacting the owner? Or can someone figure it out by looking at it?
